Location and Access
ICC Sydney Theatre has equitable, step-free and gradient compliant access to the venue.

The main ground floor entrance to the ICC Sydney Theatre is located under the brightly lit ‘birds-mouth’ digital sign, on Moriarty Walk, with an alternative entrance available at the Level 2 concourse that connects to ICC Sydney’s Exhibition Centre.

The main ground floor entrance is accessible from the Exhibition Light Rail crossing via Moriaty Walk, Car Park (P1), Car Park 2 (P2), and Tumbalong Boulevard. The closest vehicle drop off point is at Zollner Circuit.

Parking and Transportation
ICC Sydney has two car park facilities located within the Exhibition Centre and ICC Sydney Theatre available to visitors to ICC Sydney Convention, Exhibition Centre and ICC Sydney Theatre , as well as for those visiting Darling Harbour. The closest car park to ICC Sydney Theatre is Car Park 2, located off Darling Drive.

ICC Sydney’s car parks have a total of 826 parking spaces including 12 disabled parking bays. Both car parks can be accessed via elevator, and operate 24 hours day, 7 days a week.

ICC Sydney is located on the L1 Dulwich Hill light rail line and is serviced by two (2) light rail stops: Exhibition; and Convention. The L1 Dulwich Hill light rail line departs regularly from Central.

Alight at Exhibition for access to ICC Sydney Theatre and Exhibition Centre. The distance from the station exit to the venue entrance is about 140 metres.

Both stations provide at-grade and stair-free access to the venue entrances, with a signalised pedestrian crossings available to safely cross Darling Drive.

ACCESSIBILITY AIDS AND DEVICES

Wheelchair Access

Accessible toilets, ramps and lifts are available throughout our venue, and car parks can be accessed via elevator.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available for hire free of charge from the Customer Service Desk on level two of ICC Sydney Theatre.

Our Customer Service staff are happy to arrange the of hire wheelchairs, however, we do encourage that the hirer bring a friend or companion to the event, as it is the responsibility of the hirer to manage the movement of the wheelchair during the event, and its return once the event has concluded. Wheelchairs may not be taken outside of the building and must be returned to the collection point daily.

Other Mobility Aids and Prams

Mobility aids and prams are permitted into the venue but must be stored in a way that does not block any aisles, access points or exits.

If safe storage is not possible, cloaking may be available at the Customer Service Desk at ICC Sydney Theatre.

Complimentary hearing augmentation devices (hearing loops) are available and can be provided to guests free of charge with a form of photo identification. We do ask that the device remains on the premises. It is the responsibility of the hirer to return the device to the Customer Service desk once the show has concluded. Hearing loops may not be compatible with Cochlear Implants.

Induction loop hearing augmentation systems are provided.

Blindness and Low Vision

Braille is provided on room door signage and fixed directional signage throughout the venue. Tactile flooring is provided at egress points including at main entryways, staircases, and escalators.

AMENITIES

Accessible Toilets

Wheelchair and ambulant accessible bathrooms, including both left and right hand ambulant toilets are available on all levels of ICC Sydney Theatre. Please visit any customer service desk, or ask our friendly team members if you require directions.

Changing Place

  • A height-adjustable adult-sized change table
  • A constant-charging ceiling track hoist system
  • A right-hand railing ambulant toilet as well as an island toilet
  • An automatic door with a clear opening of 950 mm and push-button entry / exit
  • Nappy bin sanitary disposal unit and wash station

The changing place is open to ICC Sydney guests at all times, and possession of a changing place Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK) is not required.

Bathroom for Gender Diverse People

ICC Sydney supports all its guests to use the bathroom most applicable to their gender identity, with male, female, and unisex wheelchair accessible bathrooms available throughout ICC Sydney Theatre.

Every wheelchair accessible bathroom has a sanitary bin available.

ICC Sydney does not tolerate bullying or antisocial behaviour. If you experience harassment, please raise with a customer service and / or security team member, or contact ICC Sydney Security on +61 2 9215 7100.

Parenting Rooms

A wheelchair accessible parenting room can be found on Level 2 of ICC Sydney Theatre, located directly to the right of Door 4 entry. The parenting room is equipped with a feeding area, change table and food preparation area and includes the following amenities; changing table area, microwave, large sink, nappy disposal unit, privacy curtains, comfortable seating, separate room with adult toilet.

Prayer Rooms

Two non-denominational prayer rooms are available for prayer, meditation and reflection. For those that require, a small number of prayer mats are provided in the rooms. The two prayer rooms can be found on Level 3 of Exhibition Centre, opposite meeting room E3.5.

Assistance Animals/Guide Dogs

Accredited assistance animals are always welcome inside the venue. To assist our team, please display their identification badge or medallion.

During the event, the assistance animal will rest in the seating area of the individual. For the comfort of both patron and animal, please advise of your requirement when booking to ensure appropriate seating is allocated.

If the assistance animal needs to be taken outside of the venue to relive itself, just notify one of our friendly team members who will direct you to the nearest outdoor area.

If required, a bowl of water can be provided for your assistance animal upon request – please enquire at one of our customer service desks.

First Aid

ICC Sydney Theatre has First Aid rooms located at both Ground Floor near General Admission and Level 2 next to Door 1.

Should you require medical assistance, please alert one of our team members immediately or contact the ICC Sydney Security team on +61 2 9215 7660 (option 1). ICC Sydney Security team are First Responders to all Medical Incidents and will perform First Aid as required. In the case of an emergency, dial 000 for emergency services.

If you require safe syringe disposal facilities, please seek assistance from the First Aid team.

Accessible Seating

Dedicated wheelchair positions are located on Level 2 and Level 4 of ICC Sydney Theatre. View the seating map here.

Depending on the stage configuration of the event, capacity limits may be in place on the floor for both reserved and general admission events. However, if there is availability in a suitable area we may be able to accommodate additional wheelchair seating.

If you require accessible seating, it is important to indicate your needs when purchasing tickets so that you can be properly allocated.

Quiet Room

A Quiet Room is available for patrons needing to take a break.

The Quiet Room is a designated quiet area which provides comfortable seating, dimmed lighting, fresh drinking water, and a quiet, cool environment for anyone who might need to use it.

If you have sensory sensitivities, you are welcome to bring with you items to help you feel more comfortable and relaxed such as:

  • Noise reducing headphones
  • Hat or sunglasses
  • Stimming fidget toy devices.

Children’s earmuffs are available to hire from the customer service desk on Level 2 of ICC Sydney Theatre. To collect a pair of earmuffs, the child must be accompanied by an adult with a valid form of photo identification. Please note that bags larger than 30 cm x 30 cm can be taken into the Quiet Room but will need to be cloaked prior to entering the theatre. Please be sure to check the conditions of entry to avoid confiscation of any prohibited items.

Some events may include special effects such as smoke, haze, pyrotechnics, flashing and strobe lighting. For more details, please review the information that should be provided with your ticket or speak to one of our friendly team members at the customer service desk upon arrival.

Companions

Access to a complimentary companion ticket is also available to government issued Companion Card holders. Where an event is being sold through Ticketek, you can apply for a companion or carer ticket by simply selecting the Companion Card ticket option when booking your Accessible Tickets online. Please note a full priced Ticket must be selected when redeeming a Companion Card ticket. This can be done via the Ticketek website, or by calling their accessibility hotline on 1300 665 915 if this option is not available online.  

First time purchasers will be required to provide a copy of the front of their valid Companion Card. A valid Companion Card must also be shown when collecting tickets from the Box Office on the event day.

Coordination of ticket prices and ticket allocations is not managed by ICC Sydney and is the responsibility of the event promoter. ICC Sydney strongly encourage event organisers and promoters to support the Companion Card initiative, and can assist you to approach your event organisers on an individual basis to obtain permission to offer a complimentary or discounted ticket for Companion Card holders.

You can now purchase Accessible Tickets online for a range of events. Simply click on the Accessible filter to view the Accessible Ticketing types available for the event.

Submit a Request
If online Accessible Ticketing is not available for your desired event fill out Ticket’s  Accessible Ticket booking form and they will get in contact with you directly.

Call
Call Ticketek’s Accessible Seating Booking Line on 1300 665 915 Monday to Friday 9am — 5pm.
